Lightened Bird Craving in Glass

I made this wall decoration to teach myself a new technique, the art of glass craving. My first tests aren't very pretty, so to spare myself from shame, I won't show them in public. ;)

I first drew a sketch of 2 birds on a paper.
(the object in the middle is a tinkerbell necklace I gave to my girlfriend. Just to make that clear.)
Then I placed a piece of glass onto the paper with some tape, so it didn't move during the work.

After that, it's time to take the dremel tool or any other tool which can house diamond milling bits and just carve the drawing in the glass using the diamond bits and dremel.

It might take some training, so try a little before you start with your masterpiece.
I used a jam jar to get the feeling right.

after putting it in a frame, I added some light strips at the sides of the glass so only the scratches will light up and create this kind of effect.
